Trane
The
XL80 &
XL90 furnaces are equipped with two stage heating.
Two stage heating means the furnace operates at either a low or high
speed in order to provide the correct level of comfort with the
most efficiency. Instead of overwhelming you with a full blast of
heat, a Trane two stage furnace first goes through a preheat stage,
warming the heat exchanger before circulating the air. Then the
two speed blower starts at low speed, gently warming your home.
During colder weather, the blower switches
to high speed to keep you
comfortable.
The
XV90i &
XV95 both have a variable speed two stage blower. This means
it is quieter in low heat operation and helps put an end to temperature
swings. You will enjoy a gentle, warm flow of air, consistently
instead of sporadically. This gentle air flow is also a cleaner
air flow because a slower fan speed allows more unwanted particles to
